Hey guys, Bandit here.

First and foremost, apologies for the huge delay between posts. This year we’re getting a fresh start with a remake of the blog and regular updates on both here as well as our twitter page and on Facebook.

While all this amazingness is being set up, we simply request your patience. I can guarantee that by Sunday night the blog will be running smoothly with all the information and the first blog post for the year out and ready for reading. We’re still playing around a little with the set up and such so you may have to bear with us a little longer in that regard.

Thanks for your patience, all will be revealed on Sunday night, so stay tuned!!

Updates And Random Meetings

Hey guys, Bandit here.

As most of you probably know, the first Random Acts on Campus meeting is going to be held this coming Monday the 22nd of August at 5pm in Clubspace. To get to Clubspace, go up the flight of stairs leading away from the ice cream place and the line to get bus tickets in the quad. If you get lost trying to find us, feel free to contact either Mack (Sarah) or myself (Val) via cellphone and we’ll lead you up.

If you didn’t get an email informing you of this, then we need your email address again… this time written legibly (or a legitimate one if you gave a fake one last time). Send it over to our email address and you’ll get all the info!

We hope to see tons of people at the meeting and are looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible! We’d like to try and get a few of the major projects underway as soon as possible so if you would like to be part of any of the current or ongoing projects, there will be a lot of information for you then. We’d also love to hear any new ideas you guys bring to the floor so feel free to pitch us anything and everything you have in mind for the club.

Just a quick post to let you know that I’ve updated the webpage and added tons of new features, so feel free to browse at will and comment on anything and everything.

Also a post to let you know that we have a store now where we will sell anything from tee shirts to bathrobes (if we have to) to raise money for our upcoming and current projects. Do check it out, it’s a little empty at the moment but all stores are if they were opened an hour ago. Give it time, it will grow to resemble quite the Wallmart. We’ll constantly be adding new designs and encourage you to submit yours! Post your ideas on the questions page or contact us directly.

As with everything, if you need help, drop us a line.

This is what you’re getting yourself into…

Welcome to the new and shiny Random Acts on Campus webpage! Here you will find all you need to know about everything RAOC and anything related, updates on current projects and suggestions for potential future projects!

First and foremost, a bit about us.

Random Acts on Campus grew out of a much larger project called TheRandomAct.org, which is now a worldwide phenomenon that started out in December 2009 in the United States. The main idea of Random Acts, is to provide random acts of kindness, love, gratitude and beauty to people all over the world. It’s a wonderful project that is ongoing, and Mack and I will both keep you up to date on the happenings in that area.

Even though we are not affiliated with Random Acts directly – they don’t have “branches” – we are planning on proposing many projects to them in the future. Take the time to sign up on their website and join the ranks! Look for me, Bandit, in the forums under the same name. Let’s show them that New Zealand may be small but we’re damn mighty!

Next up, let us know who you are!

New members are always welcome (encouraged, coerced, hunted down…) and it’s free to join, so go to! All we need from you guys is to take 3.5 minutes to email us (randomactsoncampus@gmail.com) your full name, your ID number (if you’re a uni student), email and home address. None of the information will be disclosed to a third party, it’s for our personal records. This club is about providing joy to people of all ages and backgrounds and getting to know the people you bustle with every day.
